Canada 2007 Camry - dashboard creaking

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 2007 Camry and I've noticed that the Dashboard creaks when going over bumps etc.

The car still is under warranty and I know that there is a TSB for it (NV008-07). Will my warranty cover this problem?

Thanks,

Alex

You need to ask the dealer, not us. The car might have some sort of extended warranty but it is long past the 36/36 warranty. Beyond that, small strips of foam rubber jammed down between the dash and the edge of the windshield usually fixes the problem, warranty or no warranty. BTW, the original fix for this was to rip the entire dash out of the car to install some small clips. This often resulted in more rattles after the repair than before, so either stuff the foam or live with it.

As I mentioned earlier, the car has another year left until the warranty expires. I thought I asked here before contacting the dealer, just to see if anyone was successful with claiming it under warranty.

Thanks.

not to be njerald-ish, but there have been plenty of these threads.

If ur vehicle is still under warranty, you can take it in..

It was definitely not worth the time, of dropping off my car... The rattles have mostly stopped, but it still creaks when the temperature drops.

I had the techs do both, clips/rubber strips..
