Rear Sun Shade on 07+ Camry XLE: retrofit in power ones?

Anybody got some picture of the camry's rear manual sunshade? Does the back speaker panel have a slit that the sunshade comes out from?

I wanna see if I can retrofit in an automatic power sun shade into the 09 Camry SE.

I have no pic but yes the sunshade does come from a slit in the rear package tray. It's not like the upscale sunscreens though, it's more like the screen sets just under but still atop the rear package tray. A retro auto sunshade would hardly be worth the trouble. More feasable would be to see if the ES offers the auto and just swap the rear package trays out and wire it up. Yes it is, but the assemblies of the two are quite different. The room under the Avalon's tray is greater than the Camry, mainly due to the fact of the speaker combos (sub/non-sub) and the auto screen. The Camry is just about 10mm shy of being able to accomodate it.

I'd be willing to bet that if the ES did have the option as well, it would be a direct swap for the Camry, but you'd have to swap the C-pillar garnishes as well. It would be a good swap and option to have though.

I'm just saying the Avy has one, I didn't say that it would fit. Maybe there would be a way to modify it?

What is the width and length of the slit opening to the shade?

I ordered an es330 power sunshade and switch but w/o the pigtails.

I got the previous model 06 ES sunshade, I guess it's the same chassis as Gen 5 Camry? Is that right?

I will have to get to a junkyard and investigate.

I dont know the exact specs on the shade but the 06 and 05 are the same chassis.

Oh no, I knew what you meant. Sorry. To mod that would prove way too much trouble. There aren't many pieces of the Avalon compatible to Camry, as far as interior garnishes go. Sad too, because the quality of the components in the overseas Avalon (Pronard) were very nice.

anybody have electrical diagram to the rear sunshade controller and the button?

Mine is a toggle button. Press for up and press again for down. And it hook into the reverse so when it's up and I put the car in reverse it roll down. It roll back up when move out of reverse. Goodluck to whoever want to do this on their Camry.

Can you take some measurement of the switch? what's 12v+ (should be on ACC or ON) and ground?

Also can you take some photo of the button's pigtail? Mine is four wires for both controller box and button.
