5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Just wondering why the gen 5 and gen 6 is put into one forum here? We should have a separate gen 6 forum so we dont have to browse thru so much when searching for something.. Just a suggestion... Do you guys agree
We discussed this several times in the past as Mods(i used to be a Mod in this forum) and it just wasn't practical. The Gen 7 will probably be a new subforum.
Gen 5 and 6, along with 1&2, and 3&4, are platform mates, and do share some common traits. Toyota generally uses the same platform for two generations and then brings in a new one. Gen 7 will have a new forum, since it will be an entirely new platform.

Exactly as Justin mentioned. The forums can and never will be all things to all people, so based on a number of factors and after much discussion the forums are structured the way you see them. Members can help out too by putting as much Gen specific information into their thread titles as possible, and that way help future searches of the forum turn up relevant results. Thanks!
