Gen6 HELP! Auto lights won't work!

I noticed today when I tried putting on my low beams to just "on" that they'd come on but my fog lights wouldn't even though they were set to "on."

As nighttime came and the settings were on and on auto, nothing happened! I had to turn my lights to on just for them to come on and with a few attempts since the fog lights wouldn't work, the fogs finally came on. When I then turned the setting to AUTO, the lows and fogs turned off when they're supposed to stay on especially being 10pm at night.

Anyone have this issue? I notice that the cabin light stays on a little longer than usual when the door opens and closes too. This all started tonight. Please give me suggestions OTHER than running to my mechanic first. Thanks TN!

If I remember correctly the fog light have it's own switch below the light switch which have Auto. It's symbol is the light with a wave in front.

Also, foglights get turn off when highbeam turn ON.

Cabin light have a delay.

lol trust me i know the switches. re-read what i said. when the foglight switch is set to on and the lowbeams are set to on, it works. when the lowbeams are set to AUTO so it comes on automatically at dusk, nothing comes on. i even tried at like 10pm and nothing unless i physically switched it to on.

and the cabin has a "longer than usual" delay.

maybe something is blocking the sensor that detects when its dark out or its gone bad? its the little circle thing under the windshield right in the center of your dash above the clock.

That's what I'm thinking, or an electrical issue. I found it weird how the fogs didn't come on when I put the setting to "ON" and had to literally try 3-4 times switching it on and off until it finally did. I'm using HID's in the fogs as of now and used a connector to link the factory wires with the wires on the HID kit since it came in prongs and not a clip. I doubt it's that because that job was done very well.

How about removing all of the HID kits to check whether the lights become normal. If they work normally, the problem is your kit/wiring.

PS: It's better to state that you have HID kits in your first post. We don't know that till your post #5.

True. I only have HIDs in the fogs and not yet in the lowbeams so I don't see how that wiring would effect the "AUTO" switch to work properly at night.
