2007 Camry SE 4cyl 60k miles... I'm sure I posted this in the wrong sec. I'm sorry for that.
Need to buy tires...215 55 17in Right now I have the stocked Michelin E-MXV4 S8 on. @ about $225 a tire. or do I go with a different tire for a little less money. The guy @ the dealership is telling me about TOYO VERSADO LX11 @ about $185. or any other options. I live in the Northeast. So I need a good rounded tire for all seasons that's not going to break the bank...
I did see the TOYO PROXES on a SE @ the dealer. Sharp looking. But I'm sure they cost a few pennies.
Thanks again

Reason: Tire size
I had the Toyo Proxes J33 factory tires on my SE, lasted me 40k and now i just got new tires couple days ago... Falken Ziex 912 and i like them so far.. grab better on road.. if not better then the proxes and has a higher treadwear but it just depend on your driving style...

Yokohama Avid Envigor are great ultra high performance tires that won't break the bank. Check out tirerack.com and input the tires specs you want and check out some reviews of different tires.
I have recently put on my second set of Bridgestone Serenity tires. They are excellent in the rain, are quiet, and handle very well overall for an all season tire. Price is reasonable, was able to get them for $160 per tire-mounted, balanced and filled with nitro. They also have a good 50K mile factory wear guarantee. My first set lasted for some reson only 35K so got my second Serenity set prorated nicely by my tire shop. Worth checking out. Good luck.
I put Conti Extreme Contact DWS on my SE just before winter and would recommend them highly. Went well in snow and I never had a better rain tire. The ride is soft and the handling very good. Don't know how the hell they figured that out but it works. Your Toyota dealer can get these for you through the Dealer Tire website that all Toyota dealers have access to. They are a helluva lot cheaper than the OEM Michelins and outperform them by a long shot.

P4's are a T rated tire and are not a recommended replacement for our V-rated factory tires. Most tire shops and dealers will not even sell you a T rated tire in place of a V rating. We won't at our dealer. It's your car and you can do what you want but that doesn't make it right. Your Pirellis may outlast my Contis but no way in hell will they outperform them. Just check out the tire tests at Tire Rack, your Pirellis could not even outperform the lowly General Altimax.

What about the V rated Primacies. 60 k in a v rated tire, or the new Assurance Comfortrad in a H rating 80 k tire. I think any car will drive better with a V rated tire and if you spend good money on the top of the line tire you will be fine. I prefer Michelins as they never have problems. I have 50 k on my H rated Primacies on my LS and they have 7/32 left.
Do they just put V rated tires on for the sake of handling/initial sales or do the H's really handle that poorly or does the V rated S8 Michelin help the EPA ratings. Not sure we will ever know but let the speed rating chatter begin!!
The Conti Extreme DWS are over-rated.. they are poor on ice and snow in the northeast weather, only good for rain and dry.. .. same for the new bridgestone serenity = turanza.. I'd go for something like the Versado's or equivalent .. think of the weather in the northeast... My costco say u can fit + one size on the SE 17 inch rim, the size would be 235/50/17.. I was looking at the Michelin Pilots Sport A/S's , they are $193 each @ Costco.. I like Michelin's ride quality as well.. I know Costco will you 30 days to use or your money back..

The Michelins are good. I was a snow plow in those Pilot Sport A/S Plus, my current Yokohama Avid Envigors are useless in snow.
This is why I suggest michelins. I have had a couple sets of Exalto's, the Primacies, Hydroedges for the van and I never regret the purchase. I had problems with the old Assurances, BF Goodrich and tires last quite a long time so the extra 100-150 bucks I spend saves me time and trouble. They are quiet tires that have good traction and handle fine.
