Highlander wheels

Ok. guys help. Ive did lots of homework looking for wheels. Decided I wanted 19 in hybrid highlander wheels. Ive heard all that was need was to grind a "small amount" 1/8 in or so from caliper bracket. Did that and still no fit? Studs look to small, so what is everyone doing about studs and lug nuts?

Thanks Mr. Obvious. Yea I get that. I'm talking diameter, and how much needs taken off the brakes. Also ground off as much of the caliper as i feel comfortable I dont want to compromise the strength. My wife and kids will be in this car.

You didn't exactly specify in what way they didn't fit. You want help or you wanna be a smart ass?

The wheels are hub centric so you shouldn't have a problem. Until now i hadn't heard of anyone having trouble with the diameter of the studs when using highlander wheels, so take a close up pic if you can. If all you have is a couple of mm of play then you are fine.

OK got the lug nut problem solved. Now the brakes, keep grinding or get a spacer? I think a 5mm spacer will get me too clear now, but will that mess with the hub centric ring. Thanks for any help.

1/4 spacer should do it. As you can see yourself, you don't need much.
