2007 Camry XLE - eBay GPS question - compatible with JBL

Hi,

I own a 2007 XLE and when I bough it, I went the cheap way and didn't pay for the navigation system. I just took the JBL sound system and that's it. I installed a portable GPS in it and it was doing the job perfectly, but after getting my car broken into and my GPS stolen for the 3rd time I gave up on the idea of having a portable GPS in this car.

I started looking on eBay and I found a lot of products that are cheaper than the GPS I used to have. My question is, and I am sure that it's been answered before but I got tired of reading the forums after 3 hours of searching: what eBay navigation system would fit in my car considering that I have the JBL system in it now? I know the specs of my JBL are 440 wats and the systems I've seen on eBay are all 6x40... I have 8 speakers in my car...

Could anyone that knows please help me?

Thank you in advance.

I think most will say are compatible but you will need an additional harness. Did you not hide your portable GPS and the base after use? That's just asking for it.

Yes I did hide it, but they saw the round shape in the windshield from the suction cup and I suppose they knew the unit was somewhere in the car... I didn't really care for the GPS itself, but replacing the broken window is getting expensive and annoying.

What do you mean an additional harness? Where can I buy one? I live in Montreal in case you know some local place that sells them.

Thanks again for the replys.

The link gives an example of "additional harness", which is a JBL interface.

Dude i've been there I always wipe the window anyway to get rid of that mark. only thing i never did was lock my glove box until now. but yea car looks nice so someone threw a brick into it and searched around. caused a dent too and 3 days later someone banged up my bumper ah. but anyway. yea you would need to get a gps that's jbl compatable but most people are saying that just requires a wiring harness. i'm in the market for one of these too. just have to do research because i want the best possible. I myself have a 2007 camry se with jbl.

there is a main thread on here that's usually updated all the time about ebay gps. so read in there. Ebay GPS in 2007 Camry SE
