Gen6 Stuck CDs or replace

Wife's 07 will not eject any of the CDs. I was told that the unit needs to be replaced. I would like to remove CDs if possible or is it just not worth it, go ahead an replace?

As far as replacing, I searched the site and found all kinds of info but still have a question or 2. I see from reading some of the DIY threads it is not hard to remove / replace unit. What can someone recommend? Car has JBL non GPS. I would like to stay around / under $450. Thanks

My wife needed a new battery while out and about. Afterwards she came in and told me that her cd changer was toast. It turned out that it needed to be set up again so the radio would recognize the cd's. See if that's the problem, or disconnect the battery for a few and see if you can reconfigure it.

I disconnected the battery for several minutes, no change in operation; Cds stuck.

So, I guess I need to replace the unit. Any suggestions?

It all depends on what you want and your preference, but i'm happy with my double din pioneer unit and i also convinced another member on here to get it and he's satisfied with it too. Also if you need a diy on how to remove the unit there's a sticky up top that shows it, i believe in the gen 5-6 diy thread.
