5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Homie you need to make them tints darker! Check out some mods I've done in my thread and be creative with what you do that reflects your style. Love the car, man. Show her off nice.
IMO though, I don't see why people get Lexus rims or other Toyota rims. I mean people have different tastes, I get that, but geeeeeze just go aftermarket whether you slap on 18" or 20" rims. That car would look sexy in some 20". Chrome or black would suit it beautifully.
A thought on in-channel window visors, I have heard people with tint should avoid the in-channel visors because the tint is damaged when the window is rolled up.

The in channel vent visors only touch the outside of the window, the tint is on the inside of the window.
I see you are going for OEM+ style as well. Definitely post up some pictures later on when everything is slowly assembled. Keep it clean bro, no need for giant or special rims if it flows great and to your own tastes

I just debadged mine and it looks much better to me. What did you do to remove the chrome window trim?
I don't remove the chrome window trim, is just blackout tape from Pepboys. I made this mod by myself and be very proud of the end results. Mod your car is best when you do it yourself.
(You personal touch on it and no pay xtra money!!!)

Thanks for your advice, but for tint I no want mess with police tickets, like in the past with others cars. Police are so serious about tint % around here, that I will want past down the radar Really it was a hard decision for me, about tint % when I got installed.
For rims I just thinking about it, but guys to be honest camry is a family car and my day to day car. Also over here the streets are not in good conditions. The truth is 20" are so nice, but for me I will stay around 18" maybe 19"

If its a family car stick to 18's and maybe Eibach springs or H&R's. Anything else might be a little to low.
Oh and the car looks great! Im going to have to get a roll of that black out tape this weekend!

I was in the dealer yesterday for a warranty service of a strange roof noise, and ask the supervisor technician about springs warranty. He told me that I need to stick with TRD springs in order to no void warranty. I see some TRD setup with an uneven look. I mention him Teins and H&R's brand.
Thanks for the comments!!!
For the black out tape, go save with two pack!!!

Yeah with TRD and even Eibach its not an even drop. Thats why I like my H&R's (1.4" in the front and 1.3" in the rear). Check my thread if you want to see pics of the drop. I would just go with TRD's if you dont want to void the warranty. I think those drop you 1" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Check the suspension thread. It tells you all of the drops on springs.

Went with h&r myself. Love love love the drop, progressive enough for me, yet not slammed.
Enjoy the blackouts on the window trim. How reliable is that product? How long does it last? Fade?
Also - talked to Luther Toyota myself about warranty etc ... They told me that if I put 3rd party / after market parts in that it does not effect the car warranty in any way, just that particular product/part.
