Gen5 New Paint?

Alright, my car has almost 160k miles on it and its going strong. Now, the paint has been through a lot....I'm thinking of getting it painted before I begin my plans for her. Now, here are my options. I prefer white, but I'd like a general opinion of what you guys think would look nice on a gen5.

I eventually want to be able to own gold wheels, and honestly white on gold is sexy. Then again white isn't easy to maintain....there is always the option I can just get the car painted the same color, it's honestly not that bad. Anyways here it is...

This is an old pic about two years ago, the car is now tinted and look a bit better. Only pic of the car i had in the day and of all of the car.

Thanks for the time!

White would be nice but spent the extra for pearl white like the Limited Edition 2004 Camry. Plain gloss white just say rental car. Also, be sure to get at less the door jam painted. IMO, it's pretty ugly to open the doors to find a different color. A good prime/base/clear paint will cost a $$$ but nothings wrong with single stage. You get what you pay for when it come to paint.

How bad is the paint now?

Research paint correction. There is some pretty crazy stuff you can do to restore paint. Repainting is extremely $$$. Any full paint job under 2k is not gonna look good, or last long.

Clay bar + good wax and a small buffer can truly do a lot. Key thing is to be gentle, as swirls get worse with aggressive methods.

I'm deff. thinking about white for sure, thanks for the input.

@Carsus

The hood is full of rock chips and there is a dent on the trunk, and that's about it but I just want something new, ya know? lol

I went into have my car painted the Lexus white pearl... but they talked me out of doing the whole car. They said for the year my car was in mint condition paint wise, and the only thing that really needed to be done was the hood and front bumper. ( they could have easily taken my money, which they did give me the option to repaint it all). So i opt to just have the hood and front bumper done(replacement bumper but i kept the old one for winter).

I also had the roof done in Lexus Obsidian (which cost more than the hood and bumper together ). They also went around the car and did touch ups if they saw and small rock chips.

I took it to a place that paints high end cars for a living (Lexus, BMW, Mercedes etc etc) So i knew the shop was good and they use all OEM paint.

I had it done last May...

I'm sure it was a pretty penny....lol Well, the problems are just the front bumper/hood and the rear bumper. The rest of the car is basically good on paint. I might just end up repaint it the same color.

White is very easy to maintain.... more so than black... But i also wash my car atleast once if not twice a week. So it is always clean.

If it is just the bumpers and hood, go with the saame colour, but make sure the shop uses OEM and colour matches perfectly.

Mine cost me 2k And they threw in a professional detailing on the entire car (inside and out).

I had white... '07 SE and I used to think it's OK but now I have black and it's much much better. The black seem to gloss more even when it's a bit dirty. I guess this is why most high end car is black.

Repaint your original color is cheaper.
