So I had my car repainted factory silver since I did a gen 6.5 conversion on it and I was looking at another member GT-R car and I kinda fell in love whit the black top but I am still undecided if should paint the roof black or put some carbon fiber vinyl. what do you guys think? or do you think I should leave it silver? Vinyl has a really crappy reflection. Paint is the better option. If it doesn't matter how clear the reflection is to you, then get vinyl. Otherwise, if it bugs you as it does me (looks like orange peel), paint it

Plenty of e46 BMWs with silver/black combo. It looks great on those cars

No Camry has actually painted it black from what i have seen. Just the vinyl.

Here is a shot of the reflection before it was even waxed. I will get another shot tomorrow, i just waxed it today.

You should try to see one in person. It doesn't look right to me with the Gen 6 roof design.

To give you an idea:

It looks very obviously painted or vinyled, in a way that you know it wasn't designed to look that way.

Look on Cardomain for more Camrys with black roofs.

It looks good on Gen 5 and other cars that have their roofs flow from windshield to windshield. Gen 6 is just not cohesive.
