Help in deciding exhaust system

Alright guys.

I'm hoping for a little help here in my next purchase.

I've got a 11' Le and been doing my research and narrowed down my purchase to the megan racing catback exhaust system or going custom and purchasing a vibrant muffler and getting that thing welded on.

After speaking to several people, i've heard both pro's and con's considering both .
Considering everything the Megan will cost around $450 and I would hopefully be able to install myself since it's a bolt on installation, while the vibrant would require welding but only costs $120 plus whatever it costs to get it welded.

My question to the community, which would you go for?

Thanks for the replies and any advice guys!

Asking the community on what to choose would be of no help. You'll get answers for both or multiple answers that would still give you no definite answer. You'll get people responding with megan. You'll get people responding with vibrant. You're back to square one but you're still undecided.

This is something you will have to decide on your own and what you think will suit you best and what you are able to afford.

You should find out how much it costs to get the vibrant welded. If it cost just as much as the Megan, might as well get the megan. But like i said, it all comes down to what you can afford and which sound you prefer. You are the one driving it after all and everyone has different opinions and tastes.

i have a vibrant, it's really deep and low.
i liked how low it was, but not loud enough for me.
i decided to do a resonator delete, sounds much louder and deeper.
it's really nice!
you should do this first, overall it cost me 200.
100 for vibrant 1145, 50 for install, 50 for resonator delete.

Thanks Alex.

Yea, I don't want anything too "raspy", basically I want it to sound like an Infiniti G35/37.
I really appreciate you giving me price range, wasn't sure how much should pay for welding.

I4 or V6?

I have a custom Magnaflow exhaust, highflow cat, deleted resonator and Magnaflow muffler, with 2.5" piping from the cat straight back.

It sounds mean.... Total it cost around 650, that is parts and labour. But i did it in stages, i got the muffler first, then saved up to have the rest of it done.

I suggest getting whatever you can afford, but before getting rid of the resonator, see how you like the sound with it. If it isn't loud or low enough, get the resonator taken off.

Gen6 exhaust

I have the Magna-Flo 14851's on my 07 XLE v6 with resonator delete and love the way they sound. My wife has a g35x and my car sounds way better. I got the mufflers of ebay for $115.00 each and had my buddies shop weld them in and use 2 and 1/2 inch pipe from the cat back for $40.00 bucks, I had to buy the pipe got it at Napa for under $60.00 bucks.
