cleaning fog light housing?

Apologize to stay away from the current discussion.

Ive been lurking around the forum for some time now and have been using the search button the most...but I would like to have some input directly from users here.

I own a 2011 4cyl black pearl se. Noticed recently that I have some water in my right fog light. Ive read that I need to take off the whole bumper (this I could do)...but could I just take the undertray off and get access from there to clean the fog light (is it ideal or is it okay to clean the fog light or buy another?)? Im still under warranty, but Im willing to learn and try a DIY before going to the dealership. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I don't have the fog lights on my 04 but if I were trying to get the moisture out of the light, I would remove the bulb and use a shop vac rigged up with a tygon hose that would fit in the housing. I think most shop vacs exhaust across through the motor housing so that air should be warm enough to dry out the housing. A hair dryer might work too. Regards

you shouldn't need to take the bumper off. going by my 2007 camry se i figure same difference for the most part. just have to jack up the car and remove the under shielding to access the lights. so yea just remove the tarp i guess it's called. remove the bulbs then remove the housing so you won't get water on the bulbs while trying to remove the housing.

Why do unnecessary work when the dealer will easily replace it? I had the same problem with my right fog light and they changed it in about an hour.

thanks man. Will be doing work on my next day off.

Im doing it myself cause I want to learn and be productive. Haha. Going to the dealership is always the last choice, unless necessary.

Undertray then unscrew the bolt holding the fogs to your bumper. I just installed a set today lol
