Question about EGR removal on a 2002 V6

I have to change the EGR valve on the wife's car. I've looked it over and it seems pretty straight forward. I just wanted to know the easiest way that others have found to remove the bottom two bolts/nuts?
From up top snaking a hand under the valve? Is it better/easier to come up from underneath the car?
If I have to I'll take the intake box and some tubing off but if there's another way to go about it I'm all ears.

Remove the airbox first, that should give you plenty of room.

Are you talking about the nuts on the block, or attached to the egr pipe?

The nuts that attach the top of the pipe to the bottom of the EGR valve, not the bottom of the pipe to the block.
The manual states to remove the entire pipe first, then the EGR valve but I think that's unnecessary.
Thanks for the advice on the air box removal, I had a feeling that would help (the car wasn't with me when I initially posted so I couldn't look it over).

Okay, yeah no need to remove the pipe, just remove those two nuts holding the egr valve. You may have to wiggle the valve out because the threads like to kinda push against the holes.
