Greetings from New York!

Hi guys, Volkswagen owner here
summary:
my dad owns an 07 camry SE. both our cars are manual but the Camry stalls so much easier than my jetta. My jetta has a 20+ lb flywheel (some people say 29 some say 25 some say 22 but doesn't matter it's freaking heavy) and i've been trying to find out the weight of the 2AZ-FE flywheel. Googled everywhere and found one thread on a Tc forum that said it was almost 17 pounds. So i joined TN to learn a bit more about the Japanese side of the automotive world

and to find out the weight of the damn flywheel..

Gotta say, people on here seem more friendly than on vortex but there's a hell of a lot more ad's here.

Anyways I hope to become more active here and help diagnose any problems that my dad may come across in the near and far future

oh thanks you didn't have to do that.
As a member of multiple forums, i know how much older users stress the "search before you make a new thread". I asked in the small questions sticky too

I don't know the weight of the Camry's flywheel, but I can shed some light on the stalling issue. I'm sure you've realized that the Camry is a much more refined automobile than the Jetta. Part of this refinement includes special sensors in the seats. These sensors are detecting the smell of Volkswagen on the seat of your pants. The stalling is the Camry choking, gasping for fresh air. That's why if you just give it a few more rpm's, it doesn't happen(more fresh air). The stalling will become much less noticeable when the Camry is the only vehicle in the driveway that starts and runs every day. You've probably already noticed this phenomenon. Hope this helps, and that you have a sense of humor. I'm just ribbing you.
