Anybody has hid's on there highbeams. i saw once again another car which im almost certain there where hid's on there DRL's. it was a new Lexus ES model. it was a low HID 6k color it looked fresh as hell. i want to do the same.
I would advise against that. If you need to flash someone to pass them, the HIDs take a long time to warm up before they get to full intensity. Or do you intend to use them more frequently than that, like driving with them on the whole time?

I wanna use them as DRL all the time. As of flashing ppl I don't need them for that.
DRLs run at 50% of the highbeam. If you install HIDs, they will flicker because the DRL only will be drawing 1/2 of it's power to light the HIDs, thus the flickering. That's why you don't see HIDs used as DRLs, because they weren't designed or work that way.

then does anybody have any clue what it could be that im seeing??? ive been seeing carswsith them more and more. i was next to one today but didnt stop. i got a good look at them and they had to have been HID's they looked exactly like them same pure blue like light. im wondering if ppl are contecting them to some sort of adapter ballast or something to make them work. has anyone ever tried them tho. everybody say they miight not work but i'd like to know if someone has actually done it and it didnt work
I think you saw some blue halogen bulbs. They mimic the HID color.
at this point im pretty sure that wasnt the case. u can tell a difference between a blue halogen and an HID. it got so close to it im pretty sure it was an HID.
Anybody ever put a blue halogen on the DRL/highbeam???
Bixenons-low beam and high beam are the projector. There is a servo that moves a shield inside to let out more light from the HID bulb, thus serving as a high beam. When you're not flashing the bozo who cut you off, the shield comes down, and you have the nicely cut off low beam.

so they're hid's high/low. yea i installed them on my dad's tundra. if u guys flash ur lights at ppl that cut u off you'd use them a lot here. ppl cut u off left and right. u get used to it after yrs of driving in miami. so i dont use my highbeams much
have hids in highs will not serve any purpose and is useless especially when trying to flash someone and by doing so it will shorten the life of the hids dramatically.
