Question Difference between LE and SE 2AR-FE

I'm just curious as to what the differences are between the 2AR-FE in the LE vs. the SE trim in the newer Camrys. They managed to squeeze out 10 more horses on the SE and kept the same fuel economy. I suspect it's just a few tweaks in the ECU..

Dual outlet exhaust. Not much of a power gain there...
Does the SE run Electric PS Like the Scion TC 2.5?
That could explain the extra ponies.

From what I can find on Toyota's website the SE uses hydraulic ps, same as all trim levels. The only information I've been able to find just indicates that the SE trim has "additional tuning". Which is why I suspect that it's just a few tweaks they did in the ECU.

True, hydraulic steering is still currently used on all the Camry gas models, I THINK it's EPS on the Hybrid, although I may be incorrect.

I've read (I believe on TN) SE owner was racing LE, stock to stock. few runs, same result-they were finishing head to head withing half body difference. one time SE was ahead, next LE.
maybe SE horses are bit smaller than LE horses?
or maybe it just "selling point".

why 3.5 SE and LE got same HP? it would be easy to get extra 20-25 HP for SE from 3.5.

Yeah. It's definitely not much of a difference, but it's probably just something they did so that the sales guys could push I4 SE's easier. lol
