2002 Camry driver side rear power window problem

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this website and forums so I would like to start by saying hello to everyone here.

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry and the driver side rear power window is not working, when trying to bring the window down from either front panel or back the window does not come down.

Any DIY on this or any suggestion what would be wrong with the window. The Dealership wants 50 bucks just to see whats wrong.

Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Check the fuses but most likely the window motor has failed.

Yeah, check the fuses. Go in the Owner's manual and it should help you locate the fuses and just what the fuses are for. The fuses are located to the left of your steering wheel, right under the ash tray.

I will check the fuses again, but I did check them in the past.

I don't think its a fuse problem. I also do not think its a wiring problem because you said it does not work with the front panel or back panel. Most likely the window motor is shot.

I have checked the fuse and its not the fuse, it might be the motor. Anyone knows if there is DIY how to open the back panel and go from there.

I have found out also on a how-to video on youtube that it is probably "just" that switch for the back window and not the entire motor..... I will check that out

I had a problem like this on my 1993 camry. It was a broken wire in the wiring group that runs through the drivers side door right in the hinge. It took about 3 hours to find it and about 1 dollar to fix it with a crimp, extra wire, and electrical tape. It was the circuit return path to the drivers door switch. I didn't find it until I purchased a replacement window motor from Ebay but, it was worth it.
