Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hi,
Just stopped by to say I am a new Camry owner. It is the LE base model and so far the only thing I've done is have 35% tint put all around. I also work for Toyota and will be building the Corolla this year at the new plant in Blue Springs, MS. I've got to spend a lot of time in the Kentucky plant too and have seen the Camry being built from start to finish and helped build them.
Anyway I look forward to reading the great articles here and am enjoying my first ever new car.
Thanks, I am a Press Operator in Stamping. Toyota is a wonderful company to work for. Just got my first speeding ticket yesterday in the camry also (Friday 13th), ha. I just ordered the Valentine 1 radar detector and that will be my next install.
to TN!! There are a few other guys around on here that work at the camry plants as well. Nice 2011! I have a 2009 LE V6 that has treated me well. This is one of the best and most active car forums i've been on. Lots of guys n gals on here ready to help you out with whatever you need. Don't hesitate to ask a question or, for that matter, share your knowledge. Enjoy the new ride, and see ya around!
Nice looking ride..While im usually not a fan of white cars somehow white on the Camry looks very sharp and professional looking ..Still love my black 2010 though.
welcome to TN.
nice car, but you know that you can not be TN member if your car 100% stock?
get wheels first.

Hey, welcome! Have the same year and trim, haha. I opted for the LE alloys though, knowing if I went with hub-caps, I probably wouldn't be able to upgrade to nicer rims anyway.
Don't baby it too much! I remember while breaking in my car, I read something about having to give it some juice every so often to ensure a good seal in the cylinders.
Welcome again!

Thanks everyone, Yeah I really liked black but I just sold a black car. We also have a white malibu and a white altima and after seeing how dirty mine always looked sitting in the driveway next to the other two I decided to go with white for the camry also.
As soon as the rubber wears down and I need to get a new set of tires I'm going to put alot nicer rims and tires on it. Mostly it was about the gas mileage. I've tracked my mpg using fuelly.com and so far with 6 tanks of gas I've managed to average 29.7 mpg and I have a heavy foot. My daily commute is 110 miles round trip all highway.

Hey, great to know you work with Toyota! Any particular reason other than cost that you didn't go for the higher trims? I am assuming you must be getting some additional toyota discounts.

I bought it mostly to commute to and from work. I have two Harley motorcycles that are my main joys. Yes, we do get an employee discount which is only about a 2 grand savings but hey, I'm definitely not complaining
