P0128 and temp gauge OK
2003 Camry LE I4.
P0128 DTC and dash temp gauge reads normally.
Coolant level full, engine temp verified within range.
Having a lot of trouble finding out if there are multiple senders on this car. Parts suppliers show only one temp sensor (2 wire).
The schematics I have only show one sender.
Some references I found indicate there may be two or three sensors (gauge, ECM and rad for fans).
I'm having trouble understanding how the gauge can be correct and the ECM indicates low temp if there is only one sensor.
Sensor is not cheap and nobody seems to stock it so hate to throw money at it and find out it's the wrong one or not the actual problem.
I searched here and didn't find anything definitive. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
