2009 Camry window switch auto up down

regarding auto-up down windows

Well I really hope I didn't miss this when I searched but the only thing I found was a post from about 2 years ago. In the post it was never really confirmed whether there was a solution or not so here goes.

I want to add auto-up down to all my windows. We have a loaded up 2009 Camry hybrid which just has the drivers auto-down. The post I read from 2009 said that because of auto-jamming something or other the switch from a 2010-11 could NOT just be swapped in to add the feature on all windows.

Anyone know if there is any way to add auto-up down? I saw a reference to an automatic window mod but a google search doesn't turn up much and I'd prefer to do a plug and play since we just bought this as a lease turn in and I'd rather not go hacking and splicing so soon!

Thanks!

auto as in how? with remote? I have remote down but OEM seem to avoid remote up. I'm guessing a safety issue.

I doubt it will be easy to do this as most Toyota/Lexus have a windows ECU that controls all the windows. Plus most of the wiring from the 6th gen and 6.5 gen is different.

Auto as in one touch down and one touch up. It has a one touch up because it has a jamming feature-you stick your arm in the window, it rolls back down automatically.

I am guessing they afraid that person is sleeping in the car and so unable to stick their arms into the window. But than they do invent the remote door close in the van so I guess it's OK.

Anyway, I have seen a remote up and down. Think I saw it on youtube. It's part of the alarm system.

I mean auto-up down as in push the putton on the door down one click and the window rolls all the way down, pull it up and let go and it goes all the way up. I don't want a remote control that does it.

The car has 1 touch down for the drivers window only, but no 1 touch up. I was trying to find a way to make all 4 windows 1 touch up and down like the 6.5

^ oh that... Lexus have it but idk if it fit and work into Camry. I think the switch itself that does the auto.

The button itself have 6 stage.
-Pull up 2nd stop/all the way (auto roll up)
-Pull up 1st stop (let go will stop rolling up)
-off
-Push down 1st stop (let go will stop rolling down)
-Push down 2nd stop/all the way (auto roll down)

^The new Camrys all come with that standard now, I think the OP is wondering if the switches from the new Camrys are interchangable with the older Camrys.
