Gen5 Ripped a hole in my under-carriage ...PLEASE HELP

Greetings to my fellow TN'ers. Here is my dilemma, I filled up at a gas station on my way back to Austin, TX. Upon exiting the gas station, I heard my 02 camry scrap something, it didn't sound that bad at all. Today when I started my camry, I heard some rattling and the exhaust sounded a little funny (a little louder and hollow). Upon inspection I quickly found a bend piece of metal sticking out and was rattling against my exhaust pipe. On the driver side I could see a decent sized hole in a metal part of the under-carriage. Please refer to the pictures below. I this hole opens into my cabin and now water and dust is going to seep into the cabin. If anyone can please help me identify what has happened and how much will it cost to repair this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is how it is supposed to look like (Driver side View):

This is how it looks like now (Driver side View):

This is the passenger side view. (See the bent metal plate that was supposed to be straight)

Yeah I was thinking about going the welding route as well. Dunno if I need to go to a body shop or a muffler shop. Plus I don't want this repair to burn a hole in my pocket either. Hope they can weld it from the outside rather from the inside which would require to take out all the guts (seats, carpeting, floorboard, etc)

I would take the car to a good bodyshop with an experienced welder. A threaded insert will need to be welded into the repaired hole to receive the bolt that holds that brace[?] in place. I just hate to have things like that happen to a car. Regards.

It needs a weld. It won't be cheap, sorry to say.

Don't know how much space there is between the tear and the floor, but you wouldn't want your interior catching fire, as things get hot during welding. You might need to take apart the interior after all...

Sorry about your loss.

I'm sure there is some patch sheet you can put over it. And to prevent water, just spray it with the under coat rubber thingy like around your wheel area.
