Self-induced nightmare

It all started when I bought a new battery for my 2002 Camry. I didn't realize the terminals on the new battery were reversed when I connected it. The horn and lights went crazy. Once I connected the battery correctly, the only things that works are the headlights, horn, interior lights, electronic locks and the hazards. No gauges, no starting and it wont come out of park. I have put my computer into a friends 2002 Camry and it works fine. I also checked all the fuses I can see and they are good. The larger fuses were installed into the friends car and they are good as well. I tried to reset the anti-theft system via the manual door locks with no luck. The radio doesn't say anti-theft, so I don't believe it requires a code.

I'm kinda out of ideas. Please, if you have any ideas, throw em my way.

Thanks!!

You may have damaged the alternator, that would be one thing to check for sure.

Ouch... should have spend an extra second to check that to save yourself the trouble.

alright alright... I won't pull salt onto wound.

Here are some good guides in the repair manual.
1) Voltage check. Can't do any more damage so connect that battery correctly and check ALL the places to make sure it gets "voltage". Check the voltage when trying to start the vehicle too.

2) According to this chart the Starter don't have any fuse to protect it. Battery is connect directly to Starter and a 30A. This 30A connect to "Fusible Link Block".

I also found blown ignition, radio, and fuel injection fuses. Replaced those and the problem still remains the same. Now I'm just waiting on some multimeter leads to start shooting for power.

I swapped the main 100 amp fuse as well. still no workie...
