oily air filter

2002 Solara w/ a 2azfe. Engine stallled & tripped code p0100 & p0101 MAF code, took out engine air filter and it was oil soaked on the front right corner??? Oil must have shot out of the manifold WHY? Any help is appreciated

Might be a bad PCV valve letting oil into the intake. That's just about all I can think of.

Right on BlackCamSE. I would check the entire crankcase ventilation circuit to see if there is somekind of blockage.

I'd swap out the PCV valve if it's been on there 30K miles. Here is a picture of the $3.57 part:

rockauto's datatbase is very inacurate! Do not deal with them. I believe that dealer's price is somewhere around 10 bucks, but you will be guaranteed that you have the right part.
