Stock Radio & new speakers

I have an 02 Camry. The front door speakers are starting to go out so I want to replace them but I want to keep the same radio. What are the best speakers I can get? Like the max watts I can get and do I get the 2way or the 3way

I don't know much about this type of stuff

'Best' is a subjective term. Some speakers are better suited for certain styles of music. What do you listen too? Is it always loud or more softer volumes? Is it talk radio or music?

Considering you are using the stock radio max watts shouldn't be a problem with most aftermarket speakers because the radio can't drive them that hard.

As for the 2way and 3way I've read 3way is overkill/marketing but I've never had multiway speakers before as I've used component speakers in the past so I can't give you any real life experience.

Hope this helps.

I mostly listen to loud rock music. I need something were I can turn the vol all the way up and it still sounds great

I can say that Boston Acoustic S series can play rock music without missing a beat, I had them installed in my Audi. If you want to keep your existing radio, I would opt to buy an external amplifier with speaker level inputs to power those aftermarket speakers so you get the loudness you are looking for because the stock radio probably won't get what you are wanting. My .02

A couple of questions:

1. What's your budget?
2. Do you have the factory JBL system or just the plain "stock" system?

I'd also recommend at least upgrading your headunit, because factory headunits are pretty crappy if you are looking for good sound as they don't have many EQ options and are underpowered.

1. Hoping to spend no more than 200 on speakers. If I have to buy an amp maybe another 200.
2. Just the plain stock I think
