should i get an alignment after i put lowering springs???
How long should i wait before i get an alignment after the TRD springs install??? wondering if there is any time frame i should wait to let them settle in before the alignment

you'll get quite a few opinions on this: some say wait a couple of days to a week, some say right away.
in my experience, i've gone right away after reinstalling my coilovers and haven't had any issues. IMO even if it does settle more after the alignment, it's probably minuscule and won't affect how the alignment is.

the TRD springs only 1" in the front and 1.5" in the back. i like the small drop. better handlin and i like the stiffness of it. i can imagine how great the Coils must feel.
With TRD lower springs, I hate going over bumps now. When I'm not going slowly enough over them, the front car seems to drop heavily on the ground. For long driving, I may switch back to my LE springs to maximize comfort.

Mine doesn't drop heavily at all. I think it's cuz I have the SE and the shocks might be stiffer. One question did u think lowering springs where gonna give u a comfortable ride??? Cuz it will do the opposite of that. The lower u go the stiffer the suspension has to be to protect u from going over bumps, etc
I never thought lower springs would give me a comfortable ride. I lowered it for better handling. However, if I'm going for a long road trip, I will probably switch back to my LE springs. I'm using TRD wheels too.
PS: I thought the struts are the same to both LE and SE models; I'll probably change them.
i think it depends on how it affects your drivability, lowering the front about 1.5in around might not really affect much,
i wonder how kenny + every other slammed person drives...it must pull like crazy without an alignment
It's true, after installing coils it was pulling pretty hard after about 3-4 seconds of letting the wheel go. Took a couple tries by the tech to get everything aligned it was so out of whack.
With Teins, I never got an alignment because it would drive straight for a good 10 seconds before slightly fading to the right.

Like other said, it varies. Personally, I've heard waiting a week or two for everything to settle is best.
wait a week or so for springs to settle just to be safe
//end thread
haha
Agreed!
I don't know if this is the technically 100% best method, but after installing H&R springs my car settled an additional 1/4" to 1/2". I made the mistake of aligning immediately after the install but should have waited a week.
