Hi, i have a 2010 Camry 3.5 LE and i was just wondering how difficult and how much it would cost to switch out the transmission from 6 speed auto to 6 speed manual.

Sell your car and buy a stick shift one. It will be cheaper and easier.

There is no such thing as a 3.5L stickshift Camry to date.

But yeah, it will be quite difficult. You'd probably have to do alot of fudging around with the transmission they use in that one lotus that has the 2GR

Buy a car with a manual. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches and a million dollars.

It's going to cost you a fortune. Currently the only car in the WORLD to have a 2GR-FE V6 mated to a manual transmission is the Lotus Evora. And even if you got ahold of the transmission, you'd need extra pedals, probably some different wiring to some extent, and a different PCM (or your current one reflashed). And that's just the beginning......

If you seriously want a manual transmission Camry, they currently do make them in a 4 cyl. variant (I own one myself). However, they, too, are extremely hard to come by and I've heard more than one time that the manual transmission is not being continued into the 7th gen Camry at all.

It wouldn't be so bad if there were more cars out there with the manual transmission, or a better source of aftermarket parts, like there is for Mustangs/Camaros, etc., but because the parts and support is pretty much nil, you'd need tons of resources and time to do it.
