Gen5 Unresponsive SAT button

Hello all,
Picked up an 06 camry SE with premium sound (JBL i think it says)
Anyways, when I hit the SAT button nothing happens, i think its supposed to go to the main promotion channel for XM but its not doing anything.

Any ideas? The car is supposidly satellite equipped, but im not positive where the antenna is.

Thanks

^ I think the term is "SAT ready". Which mean the receiver have hardware to plug in the SAT hardware.

I think the manual have a list of compatible SAT.

Sorry, no use going to the dealer. The SAT kits (XM & Sirius) have long been discontinued for the Gen 5 and even the early Gen 6. You may be able to track one down on the net. I found one for my 07 SE but it wasn't cheap between the kit and the receiver.

Are there really no more XM radios that fit the gen 5's audio system?

http://www.pie.net/index.php?page=sh...mart&Itemid=40

I have this module installed so that my SAT button acts as AUX for my ipod or whatever mp3 player anybody has.

Find an XM Radio that fits any of the cars that are listed there and it should plug in

Well I wanted to use the factory head unit for all the controls and stuff instead of getting an external unit. It looks like I would need an antenna and all that stuff installed which I dont feel like paying for, I have brakes and struts that need to be replaced first haha

The factory head unit controls everything, it's only satellite ready though. The antenna and such plug into an open plug in the back of the head unit. The head unit can't read satellite signals without a satellite antenna, after all.
