Our cars the high/low are two separate beams. No need for bi-xenon, thats for cars that have high/low beam built into the same projector.
k thats what i thought but say i did install the bixenon bulbs, would they even flip to brights? and would both brights turn on making my brights like the sun?

Bulbs have nothing to do with bi-xenon. Bi-xenon is the projectors inside the headlights. When you press the stalk to activate the brighter setting, a flap on the headlights flip up (or down). This is the same as the highbeam on your car. When pressed again, the flap goes down and this is your lowbeam. For our cars, low and high have two separate functions as stated before
If you want bi-xenon, you will have to do a retrofit on your headlights. I highly suggest reading the manual for a better understanding of your headlights. I also suggest doing more search on the web or www.hidplanet.com if you want to know more about bi-xenon.
Youtube even has videos on exactly what a bi-xenon looks like
ya my FJ had bi xenon hids so i know how they work, what i was wondering is if the stock brights went on if the bi's would also switch over to bright mode.
ill just stick with low's! lol

You can buy a Bi-xenon kit of ebay or any other place and put it on the projector housing no problem there is no need to change projectors. I did it once on my dads Acura and these are the ones I used http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-B...Q5fAccessories
2 years and they are still going strong.

We don't have bi-xenons on our headlights, so you cant switch to begin with. So talking about bi-xenons on our stock headlights are a moot point if we don't have that option. You'll have bi-xenons if you retrofit it to your headlights.
Your FJ has it but not all Toyota's have it.
Don't know if its me not following but you keep mentioning bi-xenons when we don't have it on our vehicles. We have high beams which is also the DRL.
I'll toss this point out there. With some splicing and electrical knowledge, wouldnt you be able to wire the high beams to a bixenon projector, while keeping a halogen bulb to act as DRL? You would have something like this:
DRL: original highbeam halogen bulb is on at low wattage to act as DRL, bi-xenon projector has the flap down, but the HID bulb is off
Lowbeams: original halogen bulb is off, HID is on, bi-xenon flap is up to prevent glare
Highbeams: original halogen bulb is on, HID is on, bi-xenon flap is down to have HID act as highbeam.

Yes it can be done you only need the high beam signal to activate the bixenon control module

yes, this is how i have it wired in my car. be careful with the DRL's though, whatever Bi-Xenon projector you chose may not like the low voltage of the DRL. It could wear out the solenoid prematurely, this is why I keep my DRL's off. Plus I have LED bulbs in my High Beams to match the HID Bi-Xenon and they don't like the low voltage either.
You can get around the low voltage issue with some relays, but for me it's much easier to keep the DRL's off.
