Hey guys, I just recently installed my Teins springs and now I am noticing that when I drive in and out of my drive way I hear this clunk sound. This only happens when i go over a bump in and out of my driveway... Anyone having this problem?? plz help
The best way to describe the sound is like metal touching metal...a grinding noise..
Clunking usually comes from bad strut mounts, but your car is new, still possible though. I would check if all disturbed parts are tight.
+1
Check your strut mounts... My strut mount broke and it was horrible everytime i turned...and i didn't catch it quick enough..it actually broke my spring in half.

Try to tighten the center big bolt on top of the strut. Which one is it happening to??? i just installed springs on my car last week and i had the same problem with the front passanger one. I had apparently not tighten then center bolt which caused the same sound of rubbing from the bushings to strut. try that out i hope it works!
If not that it might be the bushings
So im confused, i know this is a little different but i have solara tein springs and when i make turns i hear a clunking noise, but when going over bumps and what not its fine. Do i also have this issue with bad strut mounts?

Just check the center bolt and make sure it's tight and not loose. What's so confusing about it. It could be other things just go dwn the list into u figure out which on it is. U don't need to remove nothing to do this. Mad easy
Just my two cents...I just had H and R springs installed and it took a couple weeks or more for all the pops and creaks to work there way out. That might be it, your car is just settling in. I also noticed when my mechanic and I were doing this he cut the white rubber bumpers in half. I asked why and he said, alot of guys put springs on but don't think to cut this part to fit better with the lowered car. What results is a strange bump or grinding type noise when you ride over bumps. Could this be it? Just trying to help.
Heys guys, just took the car into the shop, apparently the center strut bolt is not tight enough... He told me to drive around for a week and see if it goes away if not take it too him and he will take it apart and retighten it!!
BTW my friend was the one that installed the springs... My ex friend I should say!! lol..
And yes Musicmansell is correct!! My mechanic told me to always cut the bumpstop if you are putting on lowering springs which I did!!
