Gen5 strut assemblies: do they even exist?

Lots of confusing info out there about strut assemblies, specifically the Monroe series 171678, 171679, 171680 and 171681 quick struts. These don't show up when I search for parts for my 2002 LE (2.4L) on Monroe's web site, but they do come up as compatible on Amazon and a few other sites.

To make things even more confusing, the local Pep Boys tells me they make quick struts for the rear of the '02 Camry but not the front.

What gives? This looks a hell of a lot simpler (and potentially cheaper) than futzing around with springs.

I'd go only with what the manufacturer's catalog says. And at least Monroe's own shows only the struts (OESpectrum that replaced older SensaTracs), and no QuickStrut assemblies.

Front left 71491, front right 71490
Rear left 71493, rear right 71492

The application for 171680 goes up to 2001 only and for a Solara up to 2003.
