i need to dissable my DRLs...... i'm planning to start running more often with my parking lights on and i hate my DRLs because they screw up the bulbs and my high beams are not aligned properly; i'm assuming its pulling a relay out but i need to retain my high beams because i live in deer country
thnxx

I spent 2 weeks figuring out how to disable mine..... if you pull the relay you lose highbeams... There is a way you can splice and solder in a relay but that didn't work for me..
So i pulled the center console, and there is a small wire hook up to the parking brake (if you have a hand brake) and it triggers the DRLs to go on when the brake is released, so i unscrewed the screw, twisted the hook up and conector so the small button is always out...screwed the screw back in tight...
The only problem with this is, the parking brake indicator is ALWAYS on...
If you want a pic let me know and i will go out and get one for you... i probably just confused you with all that jibber jabber up there
o tht sounds fun lol.... i might try that or just keep the hand brake up one notch.... my parking shoes are a bit loose as it is..... or i'll just live the DRLs
the lights are purple or "UV black light"..... i just got them from SBleds... i had blue ones before that matched the car but i got pulled over 2Xs for them so maybe ill have better luck with these
ur car looks sweet btw

If anybody in Houston wants to disable their DRL and seatbelt chimes, let me know. FREE!
If anybody want info on Techstream and buying the cheapest pass-through device to connect to OBDII, let me know. Very powerful tool.

Ok first open up the armrest so you can get access to the center console that is snapped down.
Lift it up, use some force but not too much so you don't break the clips.
Next unscrew the screw, not all the way, just enough to twist the brown plastic plug connector, and a botton will pop out (or push in, i can't remember, it is the opposite of how it sits now when the parking brake is engaged), then tighten the screw... and that is all. But remember the warning light on the dash will always stay on.
At first when it became LAW here in Canada back in 1990, I didn't like the idea of having lights on in the daytime, but after 20 years of seeing cars with their DRL's ON, I got used to it and I'm sure it may save lives and a ticket too.....lol

I'm in Canada.... and no cops has bothered me about it.
