Gen5 Front bumper scuff

My mom basically scuffed the front bumper of my '04 Camry by trying to pull into a shady parking spot and hit the side of a stop sign. It doesn't look too serious from my eye but I was wondering what you guys would recommend? I was planning to tape off the areas, sand flat the scratches, apply gray primer, sealer, touch-up paint, and then use clear coat.

Here are the pictures:

Thanks for any/all help.

Try rubbing compound and buff it out.

My sister backed into my car monday and left a 2 foot black scratch/scuff...and i used Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and buffed it out, can't even tell she hit my car. (she is so lucky too)

The parts where the paint is chipped will have to be redone, but the rest should buff out if the scratches aren't super deep

I agree with Punks, I would realy use some elbow grease and compound out as much as you can, I'll bet that you can get most of the scratches above the fog light indentation and below on the bumper , where the paint is gone, down to the black you will have to touch that up.

The scratches are alittle deeper than what the pictures show since my mom said she actually bent the stop sign over so I think I might have to default to using some touch-up paint for the time being. I'll keep the rubbing compound in mind for the future if I get light scratches but I appreciate the help!

Just a side note but would either of you recommend trying to repaint the scratches vs repainting the whole bumper? I did some searches before posting and it would seem that if anything, painted spots might stand out if the same number of layers aren't used.
