Installing alarm on a car questions

hi i had a few questions about installing an alarm in my camry 2008 LE. i have a viper 5901 that i want to install and i been researching this everywhere and its getting annoying lol. i looked and some videos and some are done under steering wheel and the others with the sjb box. does my car have one? is there a bypass needed? i know i need one for the remote starter but not for any other thing because there is no factory alarm?

Are you sure your Camry don't have the immobilizer? You can easily tell by your key, if it's fat than likely your car have the immobilizer.

It's not an alarm, but it prevent ppl that don't have that exact fat key to drive away with your car.

The immobilizer prevent the engine from starting. I've never test it out but from what other said if the wrong key is put in to start the car, the engine will crank but it won't start.

That bypass usually is to bypass this immobilizer. If you don't want to start your car, you are not likely to need this. If you have the car window sticker, this security system should list it in there.

This is what I understand.
