Hello fellow Toyota fans im practically new to toyotanation and this is my first post so bare with me. anyways my question was how do I remove the front and rear big Toyota badge in the middle of the front and rear bumper. after I figure out how to remove it i was wondering if anybody had a DIY on how to paint these black and put them back on. if me removing them and painting it and putting them back on is not possible then where can I buy these black painted toyota badges??? I know there is probably a thread on this already but I probably went thru 25 pages and couldnt find nothing so I gave up on looking for it and decided to post this up. Sorry for being so lazy .

far as prepping the emblem for paint,if your going to paint it a solid color ,I would suggest using 800 grit wet sand paper to get an good adhesion ,plus you might want to use a adhesive promoter. (1) would be to clean the emblem with a wax & grease remover,(2)then lightly sand it with the sand paper, (3) clean it with thinner, making sure not to touch with bare hands,as the oil from you fingers will contaminate the surface. (4) wearing latex gloves ,the kind that hospital/doc/nurses use is a plus. the most important part of any paint job is the prep work... side note: if you know of a local body shop that you can take it to,you might be able to get it done fairly cheap, just ask if they could paint the emblem while they are painting a vehicle. meaning if you let them do it when they are already painting another customers vehicle, they would be able to do it at the same time and there would be none if not very little material to purchase. Have done this plenty of times.. good luck with your project

would i have to remove the bumper before unclipping the emblem becuase I cant see the clips by looking inside the hood??? or maybe im not looking hard enough lol. then for the rear is that a adhesive along with a clip behind my trunk lid or is it just a adhesive??? any answers will be greatly appreciated
you might have to remove the bumper to get to the clips i'm not positive, i never really looked even though i took my bumper off numerous times. lol but the back is held on by adhesive.
1) De-badge, use 800-1000 grit sand paper.
2) Clean with plain water, make sure the surface is free of dust and whatnot.
3) A coat or two of primer, and thin coats of black spray paint. 2-3 layers is good enough, more if you want it darker. No need for clear coat, I like the matte look, but you can put some clear on it if you want.
ok well thanks for the info guys I will most probably try to do this all on monday i still go to the shop to figure out why my steering wheel started to vibrate after putting on my 20"s anyways just wanted to present my self lol i have a 2011 Toyota Camry SE sitting on Tein Dress Up Master Lowering Springs, 20x8.5 +32 Offset, 225/35/20 Tires, 5% limo tint all the way around except the front windshield of course lol, ONEX 3K HID Fog Lights, and ONEX 6K headlights, and still more to come......

I just took off mine today and to do this just take a small flat head screw driver cover it up with napkin or cloth and pry it off. You do not have to apply too much pressure to it to take it off. the emblem will come off with back part of the emblem. then you can take it apart from the back by pressing on the clips on the back.
