5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I am currently looking to purchase a 2011 Toyota Camry LE with Convenience Package or the LE V6 and wanted to know what people's feedback was about this car. Essentially, I am looking for owners of 2007 - 2011 Camrys who can tell me what issues (if any) they have with their cars. I currently own a 2002 Camry LE V6 with 190K on it and it works great so I figure the Camry is a safe, dependable vehicle. Also the fact that there is a $3500 cash bonus on the 4 Cyl and $5000 on the V6, this makes it that much more enticing.
Also, can someone suggest any dealers in the Toronto or Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that offer really good prices on these cars?
Oh, I am not retiring my 2002 Camry. I am planning to trade in my 2009 Civic as I want something bigger. with the trade in on the Civic, the 2011 Camry seems pretty reasonably priced.
Does the 2011 Camry STILL have issues? I thought the recalls were all done on them and they have no problems.
try don valley north toyota
its at victoria park and steeles
I bought my 07 LE from there, used
I do my oil changes there too
so far I am happy
but I cant say much because I haven't been with them long enough
2010-11's seem to be stable. As i said i have a 2010 XLE V6 every option but Nav and haven't had any issues. Have had the car just over a year now.

I can atest to this.... My Aunt got her 2010 LE from them and several Corolla's before from them and she loves them, very nice people. I personally have not been to this one ( i live outside of the city).
Question- Why not go with the SE? It's sportier looking than the LE. Anyway, my boyfriend has a 2011 Camry SE for his demo right now and the only issue he has with it is his XM radio cuts in and out. The other guys he works with that have Camry demo's don't seem to have that problem, so it's probabaly just his car. I was going to go with the SE before I got my tC.
I've heard too, that Toyota for 2012 is going to be making more SE's then LE's since the SE is a better value for only for more bucks.
It's too back you weren't near Metro Detroit. Have a great dealer you could go to. The sales management staff is AMAZING
I have an 09 SE 23,000K and so far 0 problems and drives like the day I picked it up.

does he drive in an area with tall buildings/trees? I have XM on both cars and when i drive downtown it cuts out because it loses contact with the satellite.

Nope, most buildings in our town are only 2 stories. We'll just be cruising along and then "no signal" pops up. Like I said, it's a dealer demo. When he's done with his 6000 miles he'll get a new one.
^ weird. Not to thread jack but i have been through Brighton several times and have family in MI... When i go down we usually set up a meet, so i will PM if you are interested!

the rear seats in the SE do not fold down, so that's why I prefer the LE. also the ride is not as good on the SE as the LE.
