Do I have everything for strut replacement?

Gonna be replacing the struts on my mom's 2007 V6 XLE next weekend and we want to make sure we have all the needed parts. Last weekend my dad ordered:

4 KYB GR-2 struts:
339023 339023
,
339024 339024
,
339043 339043
,
339044 339044

2 KYB upper spring seats: SM5485 2 KYB upper spring seats: SM5485

2 OES Genuine strut bearings 2 OES Genuine strut bearings

2 Monroe rear strut mounts: 903904

Anything else we need? Hmm I typed in 2007 Camry Strut Mount in Amazon and that KYB upper spring seat is the only thing that came up. Rock Auto only carries the Monroe rear upper mounts. Do we need the front mounts, the parts that have the mounting studs that attach to the strut towers? If so where the heck do I find them besides the Toyota dealer at $90 each?

Spring seats don't need replacement, that part is where the top of the spring seats into, and the bearing then strut mount is on top of that. What you need is two front strut mounts. I would order Toyota parts from Gary a.k.a. ToyotaPartsMan here on T.N. You may also need new coil spring insulators and bumpers depending on their condition.

Just wondering, how many miles are on this camry? Seems pretty early for suspension replacement.

Do you have the proper tool for compressing the springs? Those conical shaped springs will hair lip you if you don't have the right tool. Regards.

I have the same spring compressor I used when I lowered my 1989 Camry back about 10 years ago, plus a host of air tools.

Are the left and right strut mounts the same? I just had my dad order 2 of this part: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=1

All the mounts on that page all say Left. But I don't see any right ones anywhere. Please tell me both sides are the same.

DAMMIT I hate Toyota parts websites!!!!!!!

Look at www.toyotapartseast.com and use their illustrations to see if the struts carry different part numbers. Regards

WOW finally a Toyota parts website with actual illustrations AND part numbers! Wish I had known about this website a long time ago!

Part numbers are the same for both sides. However it lists the part number as **609-06190. I thought Toyota part numbers had 5 digits, dash, 5 digits. Wonder what the asterisks are for, are they in place of the first 2 numbers perhaps?

*edit* looks like the part number is 48609-06190. The parts diagram lists the left side and right side under numbers 48603 and 48609, but both point to the same 48609-06190 part.

Alrighty looks like we have everything and I have it all assembled in order on each strut ready to start installation around 6 am tomorrow morning. Gonna be HOT tomorrow!!! Hope everything goes smoothly with air tools. The only thing I'm dreading is rear seat removal.

4 strut replacement on Mom's almost new XLE V6???? I don't think it needs to be replaced till 2017. I've driven 07 Camrys with more miles and much more NYC abuse and still no signs of weakness...

How did it go, and what spring compressor did you use? I'm getting ready to change both fronts on my 06 Camry. It only has 67k but the front left strut is completely blown out so I'm doing both struts and the springs too....might as well if I'm taking it all apart!
