Looking to buy a Camry!!

so until now ive had a toyota corolla, toyota sienna and honda civic.
i sold the corolla about two weeks back and need to replace it very soon. i do not like the quality and reliability (mainly of the automatic transmissions) of Honda so im going to be getting a Camry.

while looking around i have found that ill be paying ~11k for a 07 camry with 50-60k miles. i just wanted to know what i should be looking out for on these camrys. what are the things that have been known to give problems prematurely so i know what to look for.

thanks in advance for all the help ))

If a V6;

Oil line leak in the hose to the valve bank next to the firewall (hard to spot.)
Transmission shifting flairs

If an I4;

Water pump leaks

All Gen 6's;

Snap, Crackle, Pop, and Rattles.
Lots of interior plastic used....

well, im not buying a high end car so the interior rattle is expected. usually i just rip it apart and assemble it together using silicone glue to get rid of it. i will look for the water pump leakage when i check out the cars because i am getting one with an I4.

workerant, why are you saying to stay away from 07-09? can you be more specific, thanks

Personally I'd try to find a V6, its definitely worth the the extra $ and MPG won't be too big of a difference. I'm happy with my I4 2011 LE, but after driving my mom's '07 LE V6 I kind of wished I had spent a little extra for a V6. V6 has a lot more pep and a smoother ride.
