2002 Camry XLE after market radio installation

My nephew has been saving his money to put a stereo system in his Camry and we attempted to do that yesterday until....

The Problem
We purchased a wiring harness from best buy and it did not fit the plug in the car. I had a similiar situation in a 2002 Sequoia and cut the harness off, made the connections and it worked fine. Not so much for the Camry. I beileve that the car has an amplifier and I do not know which wires go where. I am confident that I have hooked the battery(blue wire with yellow stripe), ignition(gray), radio ground(brown) correctly. I have tried several configurations with the remaining wires and have no sound. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Remaining wires
blue with gray dots
black with gray dots
another brown with gray dots
pink with blue stripe
white with green stripe
another gray
dark green
maybe light green
yellow
red with gray dots
white with gray dots

14 wires total

If someone can help it will be greatly appreciated. I feel really bad for not being able to get it working and after the harness was cut it was no turning back. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I appreciate it but those configuration did not work. It only has eleven wires and my harness has 14. I beleive the diagrams you posted are for a radio with out an amplifier.

looks like you have the JBL radio. you may be better off bypassing the stock jbl amp completely, but i'll let more knowledgeable audio guys chime in.

This is what I can remember from memory of doing something like this. I am not saying it is 100% accurate.

1: Battery Wire
2:Illumination feed for amp
3: Amplifier
4: N/A
5: N/A
6: N/A
7: MUTE
8: Front Right Speaker
9: Front Left Speaker
10: Not sure what SLD means
11: Accessory
12: Negative Illumination cable
13: Antenna
16: Fade
17: Beep
18: Rear Right Speaker
19: Rear Left Speaker
20: Ground

I also agree that you should bypass the amp. I think it would make things easier.
