2004 Toyota Solara Camry Idling Low RPM Problem

I have 2004 Solara 2.4L 4cylinders. Car start and run smoothly but when it gets warm, stop at traffic light when idling rpm is around 800 and drops to 600 then car shakes and again rpm increases to 800. What might be the cause of this problem? Can someone please help me?

Did you check your MAF Sensor? (Mass Air Flow Sensor). If you goggle it, you can find how to clean it with MAF sensor cleaner. It's easy. After I cleaned my wife's 2002 solara with idle problem, unstable idling rpm was gone.

Be careful when cleaning the MAF sensor. It has some delicate wires that can be easily damaged.

I will consider that advice while doing that. Actually I just googled the same problem in Toyota Camry's in Europe (where I am from) and 600-800rpm is adviced to be normal and changes in rpm during idle per each minute is explained as car's computers decision to reduce gas usage. I'm not sure if its precise or not but seems like a lot of people have the same problem.

Hey everyone, just an update on this post. I got the air intake control valve cleaned and now my car thankfully runs normal. Its really easy procedure and you can search in youtube videos to see how to do it. Thank you all responded to the post as your replies helped me significantly to solve the problem.
