Gen6 Replacing Cabin Airfilter on 07 Camry

I followed the instruction on this video. I have to say it is very misleading

The limiting stop does not need to be taken out. It snaps right off and will not get in the way.

But I am now stuck with the compartment not coming off. I push hard on the back but it does not look like it want to come off. Pushing inward from the side does not loose it up much. Any tips?

if you squeeze the compartment from both sides inwards, the compartment will come out. i don't push on the back like the video, i squeeze from both sides.

It just say "Once all screws and bolts are removed, grab the sides, insides or anything and pull towards you. The glove box will fall. It's held in place by 3 yellow clips and 2 black ones."

I don't think any screws need to be removed. It sounded like the entire glove box assembly is being pulled out.

From your signature, I see you don't own a GEN6 Camry. Pushing back is the way to go on GEN6. Pushing inward, even if it works, is super hard. I tried again with a bigger force pushing the back and pulling the front at the same time and it came off.

But there is definitely no need to remove the limiting stop like in the video. All I need to do is snap it off side way so it is no longer attached to the glove box.

Yes, the method that was linked to is removing the entire glove box housing. I did this to access the glove box bulb since using a mirror, light and tweezer didnt work. Upon removing the entire thing, I was able to access the cabin filter as well. So my method is an alternative for those who can't do it the normal way.

The little cylinder shaped thing is only a damper. You need only remove it from the glove box door. Then push in the sides of the glove box enough for the tabs to clear and let it open all the way. You have to push fairly hard. Then, all the crap in the glove box will fall onto the floorboard. But you were going to clean it out anyway, right?
