Gen6 2008 Toyota Camry XLE Audio Noise

My 2008 toyota camry xle W/ JBL W/o NAV. I am getting a distorted/static noise from all speakers when the radio/cd player is turned on. When the Radio/Cd player is turned off, right rear deck speaker is making distorted/static noise. So to turn this distorted noise I disconnect a connector from the JBL amplifier that is located under the passenger seat. Any Advise what would be causing this. I was thinking that JBL amplifier is going bad but again its a very expensive part.

yes, the amplifier is 99% the cause. we have terrible problems with them in Rav4s. Never seen it on a camry but what you describe is what the Ravs do

Is there a way to bypass this JBL AMP. Take the amp out of the equation. I might just get after market amp installed. or if you know a place where i can buy JBL amp thats in the car for less cost. Dealer is asking 800 for the JBL amp.

I am sure there is a way, im just unsure of it. not sure if the radio would work either cuz im thinking it runs thru the amp. i have bypassed the amp on a 97 camry xle, but that was using a aftermarket radio. personally, i would check junkyards.

If youre going to buy an aftermarket amp, check the internet. That is your best bet. Do not spend the 800 on that amp. You could honestly get a better subwoofer and amp, and have it professionally installed for that price. And I bet it would sound better.
