Question Engine Maint. Light/ODB scanner

'07 Camry LE
No problems.

Engine maintenance light just came on, a day ago.
Connected my ODBII scanner;
will only scan with engine running.
Despite warning light, no codes revealed.
Checked fuses, etc.
Rescan, same results.

I'd like to see why the light is coming on, without visiting a repair shop.

Any thoughts, ideas, curses, or spells?

Hello, the "maintenance requried" light is not the same as the "check engine" light.

The "msaintenacne required light comes on when the miles ad up for your next oil chance, you reset it with the odomiter knob and the key.

Maintenance required or check engine light? Each one is differnent. If its the maintanance required you might want to check your oil.

Gen6

theres nothing wrong with you car at all if the Maintenance lights come on the camry, it comes on every 5000 miles for the oil change, its program into the computer systems for all 6th Gen camrys, so dont have to worry about just go online and research on how to reset it and it'll turn off.

That light on your 07 comes on when you start your car after 4500 miles since your oil change and will go off in a few minutes. At 5000 miles it comes on and stays on until it is reset, usually after your oil change. Your owner's manual will have the procedure to reset it.

Don't worry about it. I have a "senior" moment at least once a day. And that is a convenient way to describe any screw up you might make. The US Midwest is so full of us old farts that that explanation is enough to get most individuals off of one's back.
