Metal Shavings on trunk gasket

When I first got my 11' LE I noticed these metal shavings sitting on the trunk gasket when I would open the trunk. I thought nothing of it and chalked it up to being some metal shavings from the factory line.

But now more and more keep showing up. Any idea what these are from and where they may be coming from? My guess is underneath the lining of the trunk lid but wondered if anyone else saw these on their new Camry.

do you have a spoiler on your trunk? the shavings are probably from the installation of the spoiler if that's the case.

Yes I had the rear spoiler installed on it at the dealership. That would definitely explain it then! Thanks for the replies! I thought that rear spoiler would've only been held on by some type of 3M adhesive tape.
Thanks again!

it's held on by both 3m tape and bolts... even the lip type spoiler.

Sloppy tech should have cleaned them up, but once you vacuum/clean them out you should be good to go.
