Gen5 iPod to radio?

Lots of new cars have an 'aux' jack on the radio into which one can plug accessories such as an iPod. My '05 Solara lacks such a jack.

I hear tell that there is a wiring harness socket and plug, perhaps available from Best Buy, that can be installed, that provides such a jack, tho not in the instrument panel. I think it hangs down under the dash (?)

Anyone know anything about these items? My Solara has navigation screen.

(Lastly, I already have one of those little RF transmitters that sends the iPod signal to the FM receiver. It ain't too good, I wanna hard wire the iPod if possible)

Thanks!

this looks like what youre looking for. this type of module is what i installed in my car to change my sat function into an aux function

im not entirely sure what your radio is like though. especially with the navigation system.
