Question Camry 2002 transmission fluid

Hello everyone, i haven't posted in quite a while cause i sold my Camry 1996 and drove several pieces of junk until 2 weeks ago when i bought a Camry 2002 LE 2.4 automatic with 109 000km (canadian)

i went to my mechanic and did a few repairs and some maintenance, he suggested that the transmission fluid needed to be changed along with the trans filter and pan gasket.

Here's my question,
He put in Lucas Semi Synthetic ATF transmission fluid, does this meet Toyota specs ? is this a good quality fluid that will protect against wear and tear and will withstand high temperatures ?

any help and input is greatly apreciated.

thank you

A few websites showed that Lucas is compatible with Type-4 ATF (OEM). I'm not a real fan of "one-type-fits-all" ATF thou. A Full-Synthetic fuild would have better wear and heat resistance. But since Type-4 is cheap (in my area) that's what I stick with.
