Help, No Throttle Response

Today when driving my 2003 Camry(148,000miles), I lost all throttle response. Car was driving normal, I stopped at stop sign, tried to go and got NO response when applying the gas pedal. car will idle fine at about 1000 RPM's. When pushing gas pedal car does nothing.

Thanks in advance for any help...

the throttle bodies are known for failing in the gen 5...thats probably the root of your problem.

I have cleaned to throttle body and replaced the pedal and pedal sensor. borrowed a code reader and it is showing P2103 Throttle Actuator control motor circuit high.
After I cleaned the throttle body, the RPM's will now go up to 2800 RPM's when in park. But, when driving there still is no throttle respond.

Jojo, did you go thru a flood by any chance ? I had the same problem with my 2003 Camry where I took out the throttle body and tried to clean the throttle plate with Goop and water...bad idea.

I talked to an auto tech from Toyota and he said that moisture or water can get sucked in from the open tube that is attached to the throttle body and he said that this cannot be fixed.

I tried my own experiment after researching on the internet and I succeeded in fixing mine. I bought a can of crc electrical parts cleaner at Home Depot (I believe it is a small blue can in the home electric switches and electrical sockets section...unlike WD40 It is supposed to be safe for plastics, plus it lubricates electrical motors). Basically you squirt this stuff into the metal tube that goes into the motor gear side side and try to flush out any thing in there. DO NOT USE THROTTLE BODY CLEANER in that port. You will have to move the throttle plate by slowly opening and closing it until the throttle plate opens fully and closes smoothly. I repeated this several times. The other openings you can clean out with a throttle body cleaner. If the car still hesitates... try cleaning again. It eventually started working properly for me and I never had any problems since then.
