button... for reverse light? unless your car was modified, reverse lights don't have buttons... they should come on automatically when in reverse...

that being said, check the easy stuff first: burnt out bulbs and burnt out fuses.

if those are not the culprits, check the wiring in the trunk. over time, the constant opening and closing of the trunk will break wires in the trunk harness.

Regards,
i am sorry to say that particular car i am not familiar with. you also do not state whether or not it is a manual or automatic.

now, if an automatic, the reverse switch will be (in most instances) in the console, it should be a part of the "neutral safety switch",..the only way to check it, is to replace it, as there is no other repair. sometimes, do to design, the neutral safety switch, can be mounted any where's between the console and dashboard...you will have to trace the shift cable.

now, if a manual trans, it has been "known" on some vehicle makes (not just specific to any one brand)" that the reverse switch is mounted on the transmission itself. when the transmission is shifted into reverse, the switch "slides" into a slot on the shaft. you "might be able" to test that switch. but other wise, if the light bulbs are good, the wiring isn't broken, then the switch is bad. just replace it..
