Question Barely rear ended airbag lights r on 08 solara

Last night i was barely rear ended in my 2008 toyota solara all looked fine but on my way home i noticed that my airbag lights for both driver and passenger are on they did not deploy like really it was a bump in the butt. anyone know how to fix this without taking it to a dealer? Please.. oh i tried un hooking the battery overnight that did not work.

Check with your owner’s manual for the limit(s) on the SRS system. If you are still under the time frame and mileage, it may be covered. An alternate route may, it may be covered under your insurance coverage.

Worth a check, but either way, get it fixed, the light says something is wrong.

thanks but not really the answer i was looking for

i realize something is wrong hence the lights are on. but there must be a way to reset the light. without taking it to the dealer. i don't want to void my warrantee.

There are scanners out there that can pull airbag codes and reset them (they are expensive!!!!). But I strongly suggest you don't do that unless you get the system checked out. With the light on, next time you are in a crash they will not deploy.
