Hello Everyone, I just hit 50k miles on my 2010 Camry Se v6 yesterday on my way home fom work. Also the maintenance light come on as well, is there anything else required besides an oll change and a tire rotation?
When do we check and change the the sealed transmission fluid & coolant for the vehicle, I do not have any overheating issues?
Life of car for transmission, does that mean 100k? I'll be there like under 2 years

As in, ever. You have what's called "World Spec" fluid in your transmission which is rated the entire LIFE of the vehicle. If it bothers you to not change it-be warned, it is very, very expensive and has to be done by the dealership. We're talking $400 easy.

MAKE SURE the dealer rotates your tires, some do not and scam you. Also, just check the air filters yourself. They will always tell you your air filter is dirty, especially the cabin one.
Or if you go to the dealer and they say filters are dirty, make them show you. We always do that here.
Yeah they said mine was dirty (cabin) and I hadnt even used the vents or AC for about a month and a half. I knew better because I have family who work there.
Looks like the price of fluid has come down....it used to be a lot more than that, a LOT more. As far as I know, the dealer has to do it because it's a sealed unit and it's not a "drop the pan" and go type deal. At least, that's what I heard.

You can drain the fluid using a Torx plug, but you can't fill it yourself I'm pretty sure.
The level has to be 100% DEAD on accurate. The smallest amount over will overfill it, and only the special Toyota machine can perform this service accurately. It sucks, but a DIY'er really can't perform this service... at least nobody has ever said they've been able to.
If you get a quote on the transmission service, please share it with us. I'm considering getting the fluid exchanged at my dealer if the price isn't horrible.
